Penco Utility Knife

This is a pocket utility knife by Penco, cast in zinc alloy with a steel blade and a bead chain loop for attaching to a keyring or lanyard.

The Utility Knife is recommended for opening shipping boxes, cutting tape, trimming paper, and craft work. It measures 8,4 x 2,0 x 1,0 cm (3.31 x 0.79 x 0.39") and weighs 42 g (1.48 oz). The top-button slider locks the blade in two positions up to 10 mm (0.39"); the centre screw loosens to swap in a fresh blade.

Founded by two surfer friends in Fukuoka, Japan in 1994, Penco is a stationery line of the Hightide company. This brand was born from a love of vintage American office supplies, and pairs nostalgic analog shapes and bold colors with the quiet precision of Japanese production, from a single ballpoint pen at its start to a full range of desk tools today.
