Penco Brush Writer

The Brush Writer is a capped brush pen by Penco, with a flexible polyester brush tip drawn from a long Japanese brush-making tradition and a water-based ink in a vintage Penco livery.

The Brush Writer is recommended for hand-lettering, journaling, illustration, and expressive note-taking. It measures 13,3 cm (5.24") long, with a 1,2 cm (0.47") barrel diameter. The true-fibre brush tip responds to pressure for thin to broad strokes, and the cap is colour-matched to the ink for quick colour identification.

Founded by two surfer friends in Fukuoka, Japan in 1994, Penco is a stationery line of the Hightide company. This brand was born from a love of vintage American office supplies, and pairs nostalgic analog shapes and bold colors with the quiet precision of Japanese production, from a single ballpoint pen at its start to a full range of desk tools today.
