Ivy Garland (Balzac Sticker Label)

Label your notebooks, jars, boxes and belongings with these pieces of the intertwined history of French litterature and print.

The illustrious French author Honoré de Balzac, owned a Parisian printing factory and foundry from 1825 to 1828. Sadly it was not the right business for him so it went bankrupt and was taken over by his former associate Jean-François Laurent and Alexandre Deberny (son of Balzac's mistress) who later published a book of the typefaces and ornaments of the factory.

We have turned dozens of these designs into labels, printed on self adhesive paper in blue ink on our Heidelberg letterpress machines.
